‘Age Of Ultron’ Trailer

How much more excited for Age of Ultron can you get? After watching this trailer, we discovered that the answer to that question is: a lot more excited. This new trailer has everyone doing super cool stunts and Tony Stark with a bit of that signature deadpan sarcasm. On the heel of this news, we’re also hearing that it’s been officially confirmed that the Russo brothers, who directed Winter Soldier, will indeed be helming the next two Avengers films.

‘Arrested Development’ Will Return

Arrested Development producer Brian Grazer confirmed in an interview that Arrested Development would return for a fifth season consisting of 17 episodes, all of which will be released simultaneously via Netflix, just like the fourth season was. AD fans, start working on your chicken impressions.

‘Furious 7’ Record Gross

Furious 7 made $392.2 million worldwide last weekend, which is an impressive figure — the highest gross so far this year by a long shot. Furious 7 seems poised to continue raking in profits as it will remain the only blockbuster in theaters until Avengers premieres in May. Plus, international releases in China and Japan over the coming weeks should help boost the earnings to cosmic heights. There’s only one question left to ask, really: have you seen it yet?

Aw, It’s The World’s Tiniest Widdle Computer!

This computer is believed to be the smallest in the world; it’s smaller than a grain of rice! Even though it’s small enough to get lost in an average-sized pants pocket, this computer can take pictures and read temperatures and pressures. Bless its tiny computer heart.

‘Star Wars’ Enters The 21st Century

In just a few days you’ll be able to purchase all six Star Wars films in digital HD instead of watching them on DVD or, heaven forbid, VHS like some sort of caveman. This is pretty exciting news, we guess. We’ll definitely be downloading and watching the original three at some point before the new film comes out, but we’re also already starting to get weary of Star-Wars-related non-announcements that are designed to get the headlines buzzing. It’s only April and The Force Awakens releases in December, so we could be in for a long year.

Floating Solar Panel Farm

According to a report from Popular Science, plans are underway for a floating solar farm in Brazil that would be capable of producing 350 megawatts, making it the largest floating solar farm in the world by a very large margin. Floating farms provide the dual benefits of producing clean energy while shading the water beneath them, which can help protect reservoirs in drought-stricken areas from drying up due to evaporation. The current drought in Brazil is part of the impetus for this planned project.

The Best Thing We’ve Ever Seen

Okay maybe that’s an exaggeration, but this interactive banner from DaveDonut is one of the coolest things we’ve come across in recent memory. Move your mouse around and start clicking at random — there are so many hidden gems in this lovely piece of art.

Brontosaurus Is A Thing

After years of debate, the Brontosaurus is officially a separate, distinct species of dinosaur. In 1903, paleontologists stopped categorizing the Brontosaurus as a separate species of Sauropod, opting instead to group it with Apatosaurus, because there were so few differences between the two species. After some thorough research and analysis, a group of European scientists are now proposing that the Brontosaurus is deserving of its own separate categorization. You can check out their findings for yourself here.

Game Boy - iPhone
by SmartBoy

Make Your iPhone a Gameboy

Tech company Hyperkin is developing a product that would convert your smartphone into a Gameboy. Basically, a user would plug in their phone as well as game cartridges, and then play on their phone’s screen. We haven’t heard a release date or a price, but we’re pretty intrigued by this idea. Now if only we could remember where we left our Tetris cartridges…

John Oliver Interviews Edward Snowden

Last Week Tonight continues to push itself forward as a credible, thoroughly well-reported TV news show, as well as being extremely funny political satire. The latest development in the show’s balancing act is Sunday night’s episode in which Oliver goes to Russia to interview Edward Snowden. Not only does Oliver not avoid asking difficult questions, he also finds a way to help Snowden frame the discussion about national security and domestic spying programs in a way that nearly every average citizen can relate to. Watch it for yourself and see what you think.

Taco Bell To Begin Delivering

This is not an April Fool’s prank. According to a report from Daily Finance, the not-quite-Mexican fast food joint is researching a way to make delivering its almost comically inexpensive fare directly to customers viable. We’ve all been faced with the catch-22 of craving a Doritos Locos Taco but not wanting to, you know, go outdoors to actually get it. And in that situation lots of Taco Bell’s would-be customers end up ordering pizza or Chinese take-out. If and when Taco Bell finds a way to successfully implement delivery (please let it be drones, please let it be drones), we’ll let you know about it.

Dr. Seuss House

This house in Alaska — known colloquially as the Dr. Seuss House, because of its odd, makeshift appearance resembling the illustrations in the famous children’s book author’s work — was built so that its original owner would have a better view of the scenery around his Alaska residence. Go ahead and add this place to your bucket list, we certainly have.
