Rocket Science is Hard


Over the weekend a SpaceX rocket exploded in mid-flight while enroute to the International Space Station. This is the third failed attempt by SpaceX to make history and while no lives have been lost, it is very costly as none have been salvageable for further use. NASA has stated that the ISS crew has more than enough supplies and that they will continue to press forward with SpaceX toward their goals.

Yes, the Supreme Court upheld the laws for gender equality in marriage and President Obama's life saving Affordable Healthcare Act. But today it gave a smack down to the president's initiatives to lower air pollution and told inmates on Death Row they pretty much had to suffer inhuman levels of pain during their executions. And let's alo not forget that these are the same folk that gave a thumbs up to billionaires to go ahead and try buying all and any American elections.








Sustainable Lego


The toy company Lego has promised to spend one billion Danish Krone to try and find something sustainable to build their bricks from rather than plastic. In 2014 alone, sixty billion Lego elements were manufacturered. That's a lot of plastic. They have given themselves until 2030 to achieve this. Let's hope they don't settle on digital bricks only!

What are you going to do with your extra second? June 30th will have a leap second, as the time lords attempt to compensate for the moon's gravity slowing the Earth's rotation. A leap second was last added in 2012, and they are always added on June 30th or December 31st.
