Lizards Demonstrate Ideal Weekend Plans
I Love Lucy, Popcorn, and Pizza, what else is there? We’ll be spending our weekend recreating this tableau of a perfect weekend.
You know how Man of Steel had one of the most dreary looking color palettes of all time? It looks like it’s dark out during the day, and Superman’s suit looks like it’s been hanging up in an abandoned mine shaft for a good century and a half or so. Colorists at VideoLab wondered what it would look like if the film had been edited to look, you know, normal. What do you think? Is this a movie that you would watch?

Adult Swim’s ‘Too Many Cooks’ video, a ten-minute parody of sitcom opening credits, has been co-opted and repurposed many times with mixed results. We can certifiably say, though, that this Game of Thrones version of the video is spot-on. The editors latched on to what made the original Too Many Cooks video funny, by making tonal shifts when necessary and exaggerating the typical credits sequence look. Plus, this video has the added comedic value of actually featuring a real cast that it would take ten minutes to introduce properly.

You can get an extension for Google Chrome called NCage that turns every image on each page you visit into an image of Nicholas Cage. Why would you want every image on your browser to be a picture of Nicolas Cage? If you’re asking that question, this extension is not for you.
These homemade pop tarts by cakecrumbs seem like the perfect way to celebrate the weekend (recipe is in the description). What’s your favorite weekend breakfast food? Tell us in the comments below.
There’s going to be another M. Night Shyamalan movie, which by now should trigger a Pavlovian response of automatic skepticism. However, this movie actually looks kind of scary based on the trailer. It imagines what would happen if two kids went to visit their grandparents who are much crazier than the tolerable-at-Thanksgiving level of crazy most people’s grandparents exhibit. Go ahead and add this to the list of reasons why you should consider traveling over summer vacation.

Cosmo decided to mix up their Avengers coverage when stars Scarlett Johansson and Mark Ruffalo stopped by for an interview. They prepared a special set of questions specifically for Ruffalo, designed to both highlight and mock the vapid, sexist questions usually reserved for Johansson during these press junkets. The interviewer asked Ruffalo about what he planned to wear to the premiere, and if he had any special poses prepared, while asking Johannson about the stunts and action sequences she performs in the film. We applaud this sendup of entertainment reporting, especially in the wake of yesterday’s unmitigated sexist remarks from Avengers co-stars Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner. We kind of can’t believe we’re saying this, but thank you, Cosmo.
